Twitter Challenge: Day 5 – Engage with Others via RT and Likes

To effectively use Twitter and find it actually engaging, we have to actively engage with people. Especially when we are new or start using an account, nobody knows who we are or what we are about, so the ball is in our court (so to speak) to engage with others.

Enter the RT (ReTweet) and the Like.

When you find content that resonates with you or you believe those who follow you will value, ReTweet it. You can do that as-is (leaving it for us to figure out why you are sharing it forward) or ReTweet with a comment, so we know your thoughts about it. Just want to mark something that it resonates with you and leave it at that? Then just like it (click on the heart).

These are all different from just replying to people, where it becomes like a threaded conversation.

So, let’s try these tasks today as part of our Twitter Challenge:

1. Post an original Tweet at least 2x today about something related to your interests in personal or professional development, coaching interests, or your related practice. Be sure to use the #TribalSupport tag some place in your Tweet!
This gets your voice out, adds value to the community, and helps define your role within it!

2. Reply to at least 2 Tweets of other people to engage in conversation and shared learning. Again, use the #TribalSupport tag some place in your Tweet if related to our Twitter challenge!
This helps build our community!

3. RT or RT with Comment at least 2 Tweets of other people from within #TribalSupport or via one of the other tags you have found.
This helps build our community!

4. Like at least 2 Tweets today.

Remember, we are doing this challenge to Connect (with each other on Twitter via #TribalSupport), Engage (with a wider audience and via hashtags #), and Grow (outside our comfort zone by learning in public), then simple action steps that we repeat become good habits in our lives. These initial steps will help us to reach the challenge of this goal through step-by-step progression of using Twitter as a tool to help us and our professional interests.

Always remember, use the #TribalSupport tag some place in your Tweet so we can see each other (and try clicking on it to see parts of the conversation you may have missed!). Reply with any comments, questions, thoughts, or ideas as well!

This Twitter Challenge is formally happening within the Life Coach Tribal Support community, though as it occurs in public in Twitter, it is really viewable and open to anybody who wants to follow along or participate in it via the #TribalSupport tag.
